Design work for the Media sites included a mobile app design which would bring the sites' branding and stories into an easy to use iOS app. To make the experiences user friendly for those who didn't have the app, I made responsive site adjustments to accommodate mobile web.
Sponsored category and articles pages became part of a marketing package which were made to stand out and surface stories that reflected the sponsors' themed articles.
The following is an infographic I designed for a Swimmingly article published on Opening Day '14. The article was featured across a number of media sites including Digg, Huffington Post, Deadspin and SBnation. It was also used as the subject matter of a comedy skit on Tosh.o—
Before I began the editorial design process, our design team had a 'Blogathon' (a hackday style sketch session). We were allotted two days to design our ideal blog template layouts if dev time and branding weren't factors. This included all aspects of UX and visual design for any two major editorial page features.
