Mariaclara Golfo is a New York-based designer, educator, and artist with 14 years of experience designing human-centered products for companies including Netflix, Spotify, and Samsung.
She finds inspiration in fashion, art, sociology, and nature, and her personal experience with the power of connection shapes everything she brings to her work: a deep belief that the most effective systems and digital experiences are built not just with craft and research, but with a genuine understanding of the human condition.
Her path has never moved in a straight line, and that's by design. Fashion illustration ignited her creative foundation. A Master's in Sustainable Fashion Technology at IED Barcelona deepened her inquiry into what it means to create consciously. Teaching, mentoring career-transitioning designers, and hosting community gatherings for women in Brooklyn have woven her professional practice into something that feels inseparable from her life. Her portfolio of experience reflects the diversity she believes in and designs for. She paints at her studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, works with rescued textiles at Studio Visit, and is writing her first memoir.
She is most drawn to work that sits at the intersection of behavior, intuition, and the systems we build to support our ecosystem.
